Chelsea F.C. is approaching. From completing the contract procedures for the young Argentine Valentín Barco, coming from RC Strasbourg Alsace, after the distinguished levels that the player presented during the current season in the French League.
According to European reports, Barco has already made his decision to move to Chelsea, where he is preparing to sign a long-term contract extending for six years, as part of the London club’s plan to continue investing in young talent and building a strong future project.
The 21-year-old player had officially announced his departure from the club. Strasbourg, through an emotional farewell message to the club’s fans, after a successful period during which he was able to regain his brilliance and confirm his talent as one of the most prominent emerging names in European football.
Barco previously joined Strasbourg as part of the joint “Blue Co” project with Chelsea, before he attracted attention with his distinguished performance and his ability to occupy more than one position on the field, whether at left back or midfield.
Reports also indicated that Chelsea succeeded in outperforming several European clubs that were monitoring the player, most notably FC Bayern Munich, after moving early to finalize the deal and terminate the agreement with the player.
Barco is expected to be one of the most prominent new elements within the Chelsea project next season, especially with the great belief within the club in his technical abilities and potential that make him a candidate for further development in the coming years.
