Chelsea secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Fulham in their opening Premier League match of the season.
Chelsea made a flying start to the game, taking the lead as early as the first minute through Brazilian striker João Pedro, who found the back of the net to give the Blues an early advantage.
Fulham responded strongly and managed to level the score in the 23rd minute through Josh King, bringing the visitors back into the contest.
Chelsea regained the lead just before halftime when Morgan Rogers scored in the 41st minute, sending the Blues into the break with a 2-1 advantage.
After the restart, Chelsea continued to press forward and extended their lead in the 49th minute through Cole Palmer, putting the hosts in a comfortable position.
Fulham refused to give up and reduced the deficit in the 54th minute, with Gonzalo García scoring his side’s second goal to set up an exciting finish.
Fulham pushed for an equalizer during the remaining minutes, but Chelsea held on to their advantage until the final whistle to secure all three points in their Premier League opener.
With the victory, Chelsea moved onto three points and sit sixth in the Premier League table, while Fulham remain without a point in 12th place.
