According to "TEAMtalk," Neto did not seek to leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window, as he prefers to stay and give himself another chance to prove his ability to secure a starting spot and contribute effectively to Spanish coach Xabi Alonso's project.
The player's insistence on staying comes amid Chelsea's impressive start under Alonso, with the team achieving three consecutive victories at the start of the season, including an exciting 4-3 win over Brighton, a match in which Neto scored one of the "Blues'" goals.
Despite reports linking the Chelsea winger with a move during the summer transfer window, Neto believes that continuing his journey at Stamford Bridge is the most suitable option at the moment, especially with his desire to play a bigger role and strongly compete for a starting place in Alonso's plans.
Reports indicated that the 25-year-old player might reconsider his future during the upcoming winter transfer window in January, should he not receive regular playing time and the role he aspires to with Chelsea.
