Record spending in the 2026 transfer window.. Enzo Fernández tops the 10 most expensive deals

The summer transfer window of 2026 witnessed exceptional spending activity, as European clubs completed a large number of huge deals. In this transfer window, Premier League clubs dominated the list of the most expensive transfers, with a prominent presence from Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Enzo Fernández topped the list of the most expensive deals in the summer of 2026, after moving from Chelsea to Manchester City for 145 million euros, becoming the most expensive deal in the transfer window, and also joining the list of the most expensive transfers in football history.

Morgan Rogers came in second place, after moving from Aston Villa to Chelsea for 138 million euros, while Elliott Anderson came third after moving from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City for 135 million euros.

Bradley Barcola took fourth place, after leaving Paris Saint-Germain for Liverpool for 125 million euros, while Yan Dummande came in fifth place with the same value, after moving from Leipzig to Real Madrid in one of the Royal Club's most prominent deals this summer.

English presence continued in the following places, as Sandro Tonali came sixth after moving from Newcastle United to Tottenham for 108 million euros, followed by his new teammate Matheus Fernandes, who moved from West Ham for 99 million euros.

Ayyoub Bouaddi came in eighth place with a deal worth 95 million euros, after moving from Lille to Manchester City, while Savio came ninth after moving from Manchester City to Tottenham for 87.7 million euros.

Bruno Guimarães concluded the list of the top ten, after moving from Newcastle United to Arsenal for 87.5 million euros.

Thus, Premier League clubs strongly asserted their presence, after securing 8 out of 10 spots on the list of the most expensive deals in the summer of 2026, compared to the presence of Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Real Madrid as the most prominent non-English clubs.

Enzo Fernández, Morgan Rogers, Elliott Anderson, and Yan Dummande also entered the list of the most expensive transfers in football history, in an exceptional summer that saw record spending and confirmed the continued financial power of English clubs in the transfer market.
