Reports have revealed new details behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence from Al-Nassr’s clash against Al-Riyadh in Round 20 of the Saudi Pro League.
Although earlier explanations pointed to physical fatigue affecting Ronaldo, Kingsley Coman, and Marcelo Brozović, Portuguese outlet A BOLA stated that the decision goes beyond fitness concerns.
According to the report, Ronaldo is dissatisfied with the Public Investment Fund’s handling of Al-Nassr’s transfer strategy, especially when compared to the support received by other Saudi clubs — a situation that echoes Karim Benzema’s recent tensions at Al-Ittihad.
Al-Nassr currently sit second with 43 points, three behind leaders Al-Hilal, making any setback costly in the title race.
