Al Ahly achieved a difficult victory over Smouha by one goal to nil, in the match that brought them together this Thursday evening at Cairo International Stadium, within the competitions of the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The match witnessed great rivalry between the two teams, before Al Ahly managed to decide the confrontation in the final minutes, after Yasser Ibrahim scored the winning goal in the 87th minute, with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that entered Smouha's net.
Al Ahly maintained their lead during the remaining minutes, to come out with three valuable points that strengthen their position in the Egyptian League standings, after raising their tally to 9 points to occupy the second place.
In contrast, Smouha's tally froze at one point, settling in eighteenth place in the league table, after failing to maintain the draw until the end of the match.
