Al Shabab have completed the signing of Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, officially announcing the arrival of the Al-Ittihad player during the current summer transfer window on a two-year contract, with an option to extend it for an additional season.
Al-Aboud begins a new chapter in his career with Al Shabab after several years with Al-Ittihad, whom he joined in July 2019 and represented across numerous competitions and seasons.
The player made 173 appearances for Al-Ittihad in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 24 assists, leaving a notable mark during his time with the club.
Before joining Al-Ittihad, Al-Aboud represented Al-Ettifaq, making 59 appearances, scoring four goals and contributing seven assists.
His professional career has included three clubs — Al-Orobah, Al-Ettifaq and Al-Ittihad — before he moved to Al Shabab to take on a new challenge in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Shabab are counting on the player’s experience and his ability to strengthen the squad, particularly given his extensive experience in the Saudi Pro League and familiarity with the demands of domestic competition.
Al-Aboud, meanwhile, will be looking to make a strong impact with his new club and establish himself as an important part of the team after bringing his journey with Al-Ittihad to an end.
