The Saudi club Al-Qadisiyah has entered into negotiations with the Italian club Roma, to discuss the possibility of contracting with the young Polish defender, Jan Ziolkowski, during the current summer transfer period.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the Al-Qadisiyah club has begun contacting its counterpart in Roma, in order to discuss the details of the deal, in light of the Saudi club’s desire to strengthen its defensive line before the transfer market closes.
Roma is insisting on obtaining about 20 million euros in exchange for giving up services. Ziolkowski, which is the financial compensation set by the Italian club’s management to agree to the departure of the 21-year-old defender.
Ziolkowski had moved to Roma during the summer of 2025, coming from Polish Legia Warsaw, in a deal worth about 6 million euros, but he has not yet succeeded in imposing himself in the starting lineup of coach Gian Piero Gasperini, in light of the strong competition for the back line positions.
Negotiations between Al-Qadisiyah and Roma are progressing in Its early stages, without reaching a final agreement regarding the player’s transfer, while Ziolkowski’s position on having a new experience in the Saudi League remains an essential element in the possibility of completing the deal.
Al-Qadisiyah hopes to resolve the negotiations during the coming period, to strengthen its defensive options, while Roma awaits the final offer and the player’s position before making a decision about his future.
