Saudi club Al Hilal officially announced the completion of its signing of English striker Ollie Watkins, coming from Aston Villa, during the current summer transfer window, in a prominent attacking deal to strengthen the team's ranks.
Al Hilal revealed the deal through a video clip posted on its official account on the "X" platform, in which Watkins appeared in the club's jersey, accompanied by the phrase: "And here the story begins," in reference to the start of his new experience with the Saudi team.
Watkins had sent a farewell message to Aston Villa fans before leaving the club, paving the way for his transfer to Al Hilal, in a deal worth 58 million euros, in addition to two million euros in bonuses and add-ons related to the agreement.
The English striker is expected to sign a contract with Al Hilal for 3 seasons, thus beginning a new chapter in his career away from English grounds, after years spent in the Premier League competitions.
