Al Ahly defeat Young Africans 2-0 in the CAF Champions League
Al Ahly secured an important victory over Tanzania’s Young Africans with a 2-0 win in their CAF Champions League clash.
The Egyptian side ended the first half in the lead after Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet scored in the third minute of stoppage time (45+3), following an assist from Mohamed Hany, giving Al Ahly an early advantage.
In the second half, Al Ahly continued to control the match, and Trezeguet struck again in the 75th minute to seal the win and confirm his team’s superiority.
The match witnessed several substitutions from both sides, while Young Africans player Mohamed Damaro received a yellow card in the 52nd minute as attempts were made to stop Al Ahly’s attacking threat.
With this victory, Al Ahly claimed three valuable points to strengthen their position in the group, while Young Africans suffered another defeat that complicated their chances of qualification.
