Barcelona delivered an impressive performance in La Liga, securing a convincing 4-1 victory over Villarreal at the Spotify Camp Nou on matchday 26.
The Catalan side dominated proceedings from the outset, with young star Lamine Yamal opening the scoring in the 28th minute before doubling the lead in the 37th, giving Barcelona a comfortable two-goal advantage at halftime.
Villarreal attempted a response early in the second half, pulling one back through Pape Gueye in the 49th minute. However, Yamal continued his outstanding display, netting his third goal of the night in the 69th minute to restore full control for the hosts.
In stoppage time, Polish striker Robert Lewandowski added the fourth goal, sealing a dominant win.
With this result, Barcelona move to 64 points at the top of the table, while Villarreal remain on 51 points in third place.
