Press reports revealed that Arsenal made an offer to sign Argentine Julian Alvarez during the transfer period, but the striker categorically rejected the offer, stressing his unwillingness to move to the London club.
According to what was reported by the Spanish radio station “SER”, Alvarez only places among his priorities a move to FC Barcelona, in light of his clear desire to have a new experience in the Spanish League with the Catalan team’s shirt.
The player had announced his desire yesterday. He left, saying: "I don't want to seem like I'm pretending or hiding anything. I'm just trying to be frank. I spoke with Atletico officials, and I think the best option for all parties is to leave. I want to achieve my dream."
Real Madrid had made an official offer worth 150 million euros to include the player, but Atletico Madrid rejected the offer, while Barcelona, in turn, tried to sign him with an offer estimated at about 100 million euros without succeeding in finalizing the deal.
The future remains. Alvarez is open despite the many offers, as the player adheres to his preferred option and Atletico Madrid desires to retain his services.
