Real Madrid announced, through an official statement, that it had reached an agreement with Brazilian star Vinicius Junior to renew his contract, to continue his career with the Royal Club until June 30, 2032, in a step that confirms the club’s commitment to one of its most prominent stars in recent years.
Vinicius had joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, coming from Flamengo, when he was eighteen years old, to quickly make his way to stardom, and become one of the pillars. And Vinicius played a pivotal role in the team's most notable achievements, after scoring in the final. The Champions League against Liverpool in 2022, then he repeated the matter in the final of the 2024 edition against Borussia Dortmund, in addition to his continuous contributions with goals and assists in various tournaments.
On the individual level, the Brazilian star was crowned with The Best award presented by FIFA for the year 2024, and he also won the Golden Ball for the Intercontinental Cup, and the Best Player award in the Champions League for the season. 2023-2024, in addition to being selected twice in the FIFA Ideal Squad, and three times in the Champions League Team of the Season.
Real Madrid confirmed in its statement that Vinicius has become one of the most prominent symbols of the team in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, expressing confidence in the player’s continued brilliance and leading the team towards more achievements and titles in the coming years, after extending his contract until the summer of 2032.
