Mohamed Nagy Gedo, the general coach of the Pyramids team, revealed the latest developments in the condition of the injured players before the two upcoming confrontations against Zamalek and Al-Ahly, as part of the decisive stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
Pyramids is preparing to meet Zamalek next Thursday evening at eight o’clock, in the third round of the coronation stage, before facing Al-Ahly on Monday, April 27, in a match no less important.
He explained. Gedo, in television statements, said that the team is going through a difficult period due to the large number of injuries, indicating that these absences clearly affected the team’s readiness before the decisive confrontations.
He confirmed that Mostafa Fathi will be absent from the coming period, after he was currently excluded from the technical staff’s accounts, while he indicated that Mohamed El-Shaibi is suffering from a knee injury, and he is expected to return to training soon, provided that his condition will be evaluated before facing Zamalek.
He added that the list of absences also includes Walid Al-Karti, Mahmoud Zalaka, and Mahmoud Merhi, stressing that their chances of joining the Zamalek match seem weak, with their potential return being closer during the match with Al-Ahly.
These absences remain a major challenge for the technical staff, in light of the importance of the two matches in determining the team’s path during the final stage of the competition.
