Real Madrid achieved a huge friendly victory over Schalke of Germany with three unanswered goals, in the match that brought them together on Sunday evening at the Veltins Arena, as part of the royal team’s preparations for the start of the new season.
Real Madrid succeeded in opening the scoring early through Kylian Mbappe, after he took advantage of an incorrect pass from one of the Schalke players, and penetrated into the penalty area before firing a powerful shot that settled into the net, giving his team the lead.
The royal team continued. His advantage, and young defender Dean Howson was able to double the score in the 20th minute, after he rose to a cross from a corner kick executed by Arda Guler, and headed it into the German team's goal.
In the second half, Real Madrid continued its control and succeeded in adding the third goal in the 57th minute, after Carreras made a distinguished individual effort, ending it with a cross into the penalty area, which substitute Carlos Espe met with a powerful header that went into the net.
Real Madrid maintained its advantage. He advanced by three clean goals until the final whistle, concluding his preparations with an important moral victory before the start of his official career in the Spanish League.
Real Madrid is scheduled to begin the Spanish League competitions by facing Espanyol on August 22, in the second round of the competition.
