Al Ahly SC secured an important 3–1 victory over Al Mokawloon Al Arab on Thursday evening at Arab Contractors Stadium in Matchweek 21 of the Egyptian Premier League.

Al Ahly opened the scoring in the 35th minute through Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, who finished off a well-organized attack to give the visitors the lead before halftime.

In the second half, Al Ahly continued their pressure and doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute thanks to Emam Ashour.

Mohamed Salem pulled one back for Al Mokawloon Al Arab in the 85th minute, briefly reigniting the contest.

However, the match was sealed in stoppage time when defender Ibrahim El Kadi accidentally scored an own goal in the 95th minute.

With this result, Al Ahly move up to third place with 40 points, while Al Mokawloon Al Arab remain 17th with 18 points.
