The Spaniard Rodri is close to getting the No. 16 shirt with Barcelona, after he reached an agreement with his teammate Fermin Lopez regarding giving up the number, in preparation for it to be worn by the Spanish midfielder.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Rodri spoke with Fermin during the past few days, and expressed his desire to continue wearing the No. 16 shirt, which is the number with which he has been linked. During his career, the Barcelona player agreed to give it to him.
Accordingly, it is expected that Fermin Lopez will give up the number 16 shirt, and wear the number 7 shirt with the Catalan team during the coming period.
This change comes after Fermin agreed to give up his number in favor of Rodri, so that the latter will get the shirt he prefers at the beginning of his new experience with the Barcelona shirt.
