The English club Fulham has concluded its contract with the Spanish striker Gonzalo Garcia, coming from Real Madrid, during the current summer transfer period, after reaching a final agreement between all parties, according to what was confirmed by the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano explained that the value of the deal amounted to 40 million euros as a fixed amount, in addition to two million euros in incentives and variables, while Real Madrid was keen to include in the agreement several clauses that would guarantee him benefit from the player’s future.
Under the agreement, The Royal Club will retain 30% of the value of any future transfer for Gonzalo Garcia, and also has the right to match any offer the player receives in the future, which gives Real Madrid an advantage if it decides to take him back or intervene in his next destination.
Coach Alvaro Arbeloa played an important role in completing the deal, after he placed the Spanish striker at the top of his list of priorities to strengthen Fulham’s front line, as part of his plan to build a stronger team for the new season.
Fulham’s moves do not stop with this deal, as the club continues to do so. His negotiations with Real Madrid to sign midfielder Cesar Palacios, in a deal that could reach 10 million euros.
Fulham hopes that Gonzalo Garcia will provide the expected addition to the offensive line during the next season, while Real Madrid continues its approach of investing in its young talents, while maintaining contractual terms that guarantee it will benefit from the development of players in the future.
