Officially.. Ferran Torres moves from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano announced that the deal for the transfer of Spaniard Ferran Torres from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain had been settled, after all parties reached a final agreement regarding the striker’s transfer during the current summer transfer period.
According to Romano, Paris Saint-Germain will pay about 50 million euros to Barcelona in exchange for obtaining Torres’ services, in a deal that was officially settled after negotiations. It continued during the past few days.
Torres had expressed a clear desire to move to the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain, which contributed to bringing the two clubs closer together and accelerating the negotiations until reaching the final agreement.
The Spanish striker is expected to travel to the French capital in the coming hours, in order to complete the procedures for the transfer and officially join the ranks of the European champion.
Torres’ contract with Barcelona extends until the summer of 2027, but there is no clear movement on the part of the Catalan club. Extending his contract opened the door to his departure, so the player decided to embark on a new experience with Paris Saint-Germain.
Thus, Ferran Torres turns the page on his career with Barcelona, and begins a new challenge in the French League with Paris Saint-Germain, in one of the most prominent deals of the Parisian club during the summer Mercato.
