Espérance secures crucial victory over Stade Tunisien
Espérance Sportive de Tunis claimed an important 1-0 win against Stade Tunisien in the 20th round of the Tunisian Ligue 1.
Houssem Teka scored the only goal in the 21st minute, giving his team an early lead that Espérance maintained until the final whistle, controlling most of the match, especially during the first half.
With this result, Espérance climbed to the top of the standings with 46 points, ahead of Club Africain, who have 45 points in second place, while Stade Tunisien remained third with 41 points.
Espérance now prepares for a highly anticipated quarter-final clash against Al Ahly SC, having officially announced before the match the signing of French coach Patrice Beaumal until June 2027, aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of the continental battles.
