Al Ahly SC star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet was crowned top scorer in the CAF Champions League for the 2025-2026 season, after displaying outstanding attacking levels during the course of the tournament.
Trezeguet succeeded in scoring 6 goals during his participation with Al-Ahly in the African Champions League this season, to top the scorers list and maintain the lead until the end of the tournament.
Despite Al-Ahly’s exit from the quarter-finals, all the players of the clubs that won It continued its journey in the tournament, but they failed to reach the score of the Egyptian star, officially clinching the award in his favor.
In the same context, Mamelodi Sundowns FC was crowned champion of the African Champions League for the 2025-2026 season, after defeating ASFAR with a score of 2-1 on aggregate in the final.
Trezeguet being crowned top scorer is considered a prominent individual achievement, especially since it came despite Al-Ahly not reaching the final rounds, in light of the competition. The strongest tournament witnessed this season.
